Numbers Tripled at Another Huge Outdoor Legal Dinner Seminar Event hosted by Allied Neurology & Interventional Pain Practice, PC

08.29.2020

This was Allied’s third and most successful dinner seminar event since the start of Covid-19, with over 50 attorneys and physicians in attendance. Sponsored by REDI Diagnostics, this event was centered on Dr. Dariusz Nasiek, MD’s presentation regarding medical documentation of legal cases. It was truly the perfect mixture of good food, networking, and comradery.

At the start of the seminar, Paul Klein from REDI DIAGNOSTIC introduced Dr. Dariusz Nasiek and his practice, Allied Neurology and Interventional Pain Practice, PC. Dr. Nasiek started with a general thank you to everyone for their attendance, indicating the importance of their presence for current and future clients and patients. Next, Paul Klein was thanked for his help and involvement, followed by recognition of the co-sponsor of the event, Dr. Joshua Rovner, MD Board Certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeon. Afterwards, Dr. Nasiek spoke of the changes in his practice, introducing Dr. Ravi Tikoo, MD - Board Certified Neurologist with 20 years of clinical experience - as the new neurologist for the practice, replacing recently retired Dr. David Rosenbaum, MD.

Following these introductions, Dr. Nasiek spoke about medical and legal documentation, focusing mainly on the documentation of the final diagnosis, causation, and permanency of injury. Dr. Nasiek described the highest standard of evaluation and therapy which his medical practice follows - including strict adherence to New Jersey Care Paths guidelines, documentation of medical necessity, and detailed clinical documentation of all the provided treatments. Strict adherence to these highest standards of treatments and proper documentation where proven through letters of medical necessity for all requested procedures. All these tests, treatments, and procedures are required according to the standards of “good practice” and follow well-established protocols.

The presentation also emphasized that, although the adherence to NJ Care Paths guidelines is Dr. Nasiek’s highest priority, there can be situations necessitating certain deviations, specifically for patients with severe comorbidities, pre-existing conditions, and other factors. However, Dr. Nasiek indicated that these deviations are permitted per NJ Care Path guidelines.

The attendance included among many prominent and distinguished attorneys - Mr. Norberto Garcia, Esq. who was recently sworn in as the very first Latino president of the New Jersey State Bar Foundation. This is an enormous achievement which comes with great responsibility, as attorney Garcia will now be perceived as the leader for the state’s lawyers, legal professionals and judges.

Another Medical Legal dinner seminar event is planned for mid-September; however, Allied Neurology has made a commitment to a new seminar each month.

Allied Neurology & Interventional Pain Practice has 7 offices in the NJ/NY area to treat accident related pain disorders, neurological deficits and surgical conditions and is excited to expand their network.

Theas monthly dinner-seminars are Allied’s contribution towards improving the medical legal community and expanding access to excellence in council and care.
